Hadley Steel Framing Benefits

The use of structural steel framing has expanded rapidly throughout the UK as awareness of the undisputed benefits of this construction system spreads.

Long established in the UK in both the high rise commercial and residential sectors, steel framing has recently seen rapid growth in market share.

Hadley Steel Framing (HSF) is used in external wall infill or continuous walling panels, high bay walls and lightweight roof top structures and is suitable for all construction sectors.

The HSF light gauge galvanised steel sytem is installed using cold rolled steel sections cut to length and screwed together on site with self drilling fixings. Dry wall linings and insulation are fixed to the system in order to achieve thermal and fire resistance performance.

The benefits of this increasingly popular system are itemised below:-

  • Speed of construction. SFS infill will reduce the time of construction when used instead of traditional block work by several weeks.

  • On high rise applications costs can be saved by reducing the size of pilings and ring beam.

  • Removal of wet trades which reduces construction time lost to inclement weather.

  • 100% recyclable product.

  • This also results in a reduction in noise pollution to the area surrounding the site.

  • Flexibility of system which enables site deviations in concrete and HRS frames to be overcome.

  • Enables buildings to be rapidly enclosed to enable internal Drylining to commence whilst the exterior of the building is still being completed.
