How it all began..

It was in 1964, when the Beatles were in their heyday and 'Cassius Clay' defeated Sonny Liston that Phil Hadley Senior started out in business rolling section from tiny back street premises. Now, more than 40 years later, his early efforts have developed into the Hadley Group, the largest independent cold rolled metal forming company in the UK.

From these modest beginnings, the company developed rapidly, mainly due to an ability to design and supply swept curves to the automotive industry at levels of accuracy and consistency that had, until then, never been achieved.

A major factor in developing the company in these early days was a decision to build its own rollforming machines and design and manufacture its own tools, a policy which continues to this day.

In addition, the company has never wavered in its policy of investing industry beating sums annually throughout its history, enabling the group to consistently outperform the sector in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

The move to the Hadley Group's headquarters and manufacturing site at Downing Street in 1978 was followed in 1990 by the acquisition of land at Hill Top and Gaitskell Way where purpose designed premises were built to the company's exacting corporate and utilisation standards.

Today, the company remains focussed on its mission "to exceed customers' expectations by working together profitably to improve quality and service through investment in people and technology".

Not content with solving today's problems, the Group's stated goal is to introduce new levels of excellence and be regarded by customers as world class suppliers.
